se kiṃ taṃ veyāvacce? veyāvacce dasavihe pannatte, taṃ jahā–āyariyaveyāvacce, uvajjhāyaveyāvacce, theraveyāvacce, tavassiveyāvacce, gilāṇaveyāvacce, sehaveyāvacce, kulaveyāvacce, gaṇaveyāvacce, saṃghaveyāvacce, sāhammiyaveyāvacce| settaṃ veyāvacce|

Now, what is service (veyāvacca)? Service is taught to be of ten kinds, namely: service to the ācārya, service to the upādhyāya, service to the sthavira, service to the ascetic, service to the sick, service to the novice, service to the kula, service to the gaṇa, service to the saṅgha, and service to a fellow mendicant. That is service.
