It is completely surrounded on all sides by an adamantine rampart.
That rampart is eight yojanas high; twelve yojanas in breadth at the base, eight yojanas in breadth in the middle, and four yojanas in breadth at the top; wide at the base, contracted in the middle, slender at the top, having the cow-tail shape; entirely adamantine, clear, smooth, polished, ground, rubbed, dustless, stainless, free of mud, free of shadow from defects, radiant, shining with rays, illuminating, delightful, pleasing to the eye, handsome, and beautiful.
That rampart is completely surrounded on all sides by a large latticed coping. That latticed coping is half a yojana high, five hundred dhanus in breadth, entirely made of gems, clear, up to beautiful.
Upon that rampart, right in the middle region, a large Padmavaravedikā balustrade is declared: half a yojana high, five hundred dhanus in breadth, equal in circumference to the rampart, entirely made of gems, clear, up to beautiful.
Of that Padmavaravedikā balustrade such an appearance is declared, namely: adamantine foundation, and so on as in the Jīvājīvābhigama, up to the meaning, up to firm, fixed, eternal, imperishable, undecaying, permanent, and constant.
