Then, when the eight-day grand celebration for the goddess Sindhū was concluded, that divine cakra-jewel exited from the armory hall; having exited, having taken to the sky, surrounded by a thousand yakṣas, filling the entire vault of the sky with the resonant sound of divine musical instruments, it set forth toward the north-east, facing Mount Vaitāḍhya.

Then King Bharata saw that divine cakra-jewel setting forth toward the north-east, facing Mount Vaitāḍhya; having seen it, his mind joyful, delighted, and cheerful, up to: he went to where Mount Vaitāḍhya was, where the southern slope of Mount Vaitāḍhya was; having gone there, on the southern slope of Mount Vaitāḍhya, he laid out an encampment of victory twelve yojanas in length and nine yojanas in breadth, resembling an excellent city; having done so, he summoned the carpenter-jewel; having summoned him, he said thus: "Quickly indeed, O beloved of the gods! Construct my dwelling and a pauṣadha-hall; having done so, report this command back to me."

Then that carpenter-jewel, having been addressed thus by King Bharata, glad, pleased, with a delighted mind, joyful, filled with affection, utterly cheerful, his heart expanding with overflowing joy, placed his hands together to his head with the ten nails joined in an añjali respectful salute, and said, "Yes, master! Be it so!" He obediently and reverently accepted the command; having accepted it, he constructed the dwelling and pauṣadha-hall for King Bharata; having done so, he quickly reported that command back.

Then King Bharata descended from the consecrated elephant-jewel; having descended, he went to where the pauṣadha-hall was; having gone there, he entered the pauṣadha-hall; having entered, he swept the pauṣadha-hall; having swept it, he spread out a bed of darbha grass; having spread it out, he mounted the bed of darbha grass; having mounted it, he undertook an eight-meal fast in honor of the god Vaitāḍhyagirikumāra; having undertaken it, observing pauṣadha in the pauṣadha-hall, celibate, casting off jewels and gold, shedding garlands, cosmetics, and ointments, laying aside weapons and pestles, reposing on the bed of darbha grass, with an eight-meal fast, he remained contemplating, constantly contemplating the god Vaitāḍhyagirikumāra.

Then, as that King Bharata's eight-meal fast was coming to fruition, the throne of the god Vaitāḍhyagirikumāra trembled. The account is to be known in the same way as the journey to the Sindhū. He took a gift of affection: consecrated gem ornaments, bracelets, armlets, garments, and adornments; having taken them, with that pre-eminent, swift, rapid, victorious, lion-like, quick, flying divine motion of the gods, traversing along, he went to where King Bharata was; having gone there, having taken to the sky, dressed in pre-eminent five-colored garments adorned with little bells, placing his hands together to his head with the ten nails joined in an añjali respectful salute, he congratulated King Bharata with shouts of "Victory! Triumph!"; having congratulated him, he said thus: "Entire Bharata-varṣa has indeed been conquered by the beloved of the gods; I am an inhabitant of the realm of the beloved of the gods; I am a servant obedient to the command of the beloved of the gods. Therefore, may the beloved of the gods accept this gift of affection of such a nature from me!" So saying, he offered the consecrated gem ornaments, bracelets, armlets, garments, and adornments.

Then King Bharata accepted this gift of affection of such a nature from the god Vaitāḍhyagirikumāra; having accepted it, he honored and revered the god Vaitāḍhyagirikumāra; having honored and revered him, he dismissed him.

Then King Bharata exited from the pauṣadha-hall; having exited, he went to where the bath-house was; having gone there, bathed, having performed the oblations, up to: he went to where the dining pavilion was; having gone there, seated on an excellent comfortable seat in the dining pavilion, he broke his eight-meal fast; having broken it, he exited from the dining pavilion; having exited, he went to where the outer assembly hall was, where the lion-throne was; having gone there, seated on the excellent lion-throne facing the east, he summoned the eighteen guilds and sub-guilds; having summoned them, he said thus:

"Quickly indeed, O beloved of the gods! Free from tolls, free from taxes, exempt from grain-levies, free from customs duties, unmeasured, closed to soldiers, free from fines and penal exactions, free from debts, accompanied by the dramatic dances of the foremost courtesans, patrolled by numerous watchmen, with constantly beating mṛdaṅga drums, with unfading garlands of flowers, joyful and full of play, with the citizens of town and country rejoicing in the victory, conduct an eight-day grand celebration in honor of the god Vaitāḍhyagirikumāra; having done so, report this command back to me."

Then those eighteen guilds and sub-guilds, having been addressed thus by King Bharata, glad and pleased, up to: conducted the eight-day grand celebration; having done so, they reported that command back.

Then, when the eight-day grand celebration for the god Vaitāḍhyagirikumāra was concluded, that divine cakra-jewel exited from the armory hall; having exited, having taken to the sky, surrounded by a thousand yakṣas, filling the entire vault of the sky with the resonant sound of divine musical instruments, it set forth toward the west, facing the Timisaguhā cave.

Then King Bharata saw that divine cakra-jewel setting forth toward the west, facing the Timisaguhā cave; having seen it, his mind joyful, delighted, and cheerful, up to: not far, in the vicinity of the Timisaguhā cave, he laid out an encampment of victory twelve yojanas in length and nine yojanas in breadth, resembling an excellent city; having done so, he summoned the carpenter-jewel; having summoned him, he said thus: "Quickly indeed, O beloved of the gods! Then, as that King Bharata's eight-meal fast was coming to fruition, the throne of the god Kṛtamāla trembled, just as with Vaitāḍhyagirikumāra; with the only difference being: as a gift of affection, he took fourteen precious tilaka-ornaments for the woman-jewel, along with bracelets, armlets, garments, and adornments; having taken them, with that pre-eminent, swift, rapid, victorious, lion-like, quick, flying divine motion of the gods, traversing along, he went to where King Bharata was; having gone there, having taken to the sky, dressed in pre-eminent five-colored garments adorned with little bells, placing his hands together to his head with the ten nails joined in an añjali respectful salute, he congratulated King Bharata with shouts of "Victory!
