kṛṣṇa iti:
kṛṣir bhū-vācakaḥ śabdo ṇaś ca nirvṛtivācakaḥ |
tayor aikyaṃ paraṃ brahma kṛṣṇa ity abhidhīyate ||
Regarding "kṛṣṇa":
"The verbal root kṛṣ means existence, and the suffix ṇa means bliss.
Their union is the supreme Brahman, called Kṛṣṇa."
