visārya vatsān āvārya paritaḥ śādvale sthale |
khelāṃ cakrur mitho melād āvelāṃ bhojanāgateḥ || [anuṣṭubh]
yathā,
veṇuṃ vādayatoḥ phalādi kiratoḥ śiñjat-tulākoṭi-bhāg-
aṅghribhyāṃ kṣipator vṛṣānukaraṇaiḥ saṃyudhyator etayoḥ |
bhrātror nirjayinor mitho drava-vaśād uccaiḥ sakhāyaś ca te
pārṣṇi-grāhatayā yudhaṃ vidadhataḥ kolāhalaṃ cakrire || [śārdūla]

Letting the calves disperse and penning them all around in a grassy meadow, / they played together in company until the hour for eating arrived. ||
Just as:
As they two played their flutes, scattered fruits and other things, / kicked with their feet bearing tinkling anklets, / and wrestled together, imitating bulls, / their comrades, cheering loudly due to the excitement between the two brothers who were invincible, / joined the battle as their rearguard and raised a great uproar. ||
