[44] stuty-uttara-kālatas tu,
vayaṃ gopāś cārthavanto brahmā ca tvam anarthavān |
brūmas tvāṃ kim itīvāyam avadan smitam ātanot || [anuṣṭubh]

[44] “And after the praise:
‘We are cowherds, having wealth, while you, Brahmā, are without wealth; / what should we say to you?’—as if thinking this, He smiled without speaking. ||”
