[9] There, while the best cowherd boys who walked before the cows lingered a little, impelled by intense curiosity that arose upon seeing an unfed, fresh portion of the forest, the foremost cattle, tormented by the lengthening thirst of summer, drank the water of the Kṛṣṇā that was perturbed by Kāliya's poison. And from merely drinking, they fell down unconscious; and within a moment, those who walked ahead, bearing sorrow at seeing it, in a desire to abandon their bodies suddenly fell down as well, drinking it themselves. [10] This, however, was the unfailing working of Yogamāyā, which indeed brings to pass even the impossible to uproot the wicked.
