[29] iti vyagrī-bhūya samagrāḥ prajāḥ sa-grāmaṇyas taṃ vrajāgra-gaṇya-samājaṃ kṛṣṇāgra-janma-janmarkṣa-mahasi sambhojanāya janāyatanatām āptavatyaḥ, kiṃ bahunā, vraja-mahī-pati-patnī ca vraja-mahilābhir apatrapām apahāya tatrājighāya | sandideśa dūra-deśataḥ-

[29] Agitated in this manner, all the subjects together with their village leaders, having gathered at the house of the chief of Vraja for a feast on the birthday star of Kṛṣṇa's elder brother—in short, the queen of the lord of Vraja too, casting off shame along with the women of Vraja, hurried there. From afar she sent word:
