[21] tatra kaumāra-madhyam adhyāsīnāyāṃ śrī-rādhikāyāṃ tadānītanānāṃ keṣāñcin nārī-janānām utprekṣā yathā-paśya paśya,
aruṇita-laghu-śāṭī-khaṇḍa-kamrādharāṅgī
śravaṇa-galava-randhra-prota-susparśa-sūtrā |
rajasi nija-sakhībhiḥ krīḍayā lola-netrā
madhuri-purati-bīja-śrī-nibhā bhāti rādhā || [mālinī]

There, as Śrī Rādhikā entered the middle of childhood, the poetic fancy of certain women of that time was as follows: Look, look! / Her lovely lower body draped in a piece of dyed, small sari, / soft threads threaded through the holes of her earlobes, / her eyes restless in play with her companions in the dust— / Rādhā shines like the beauty of a golden seed of sweetness.
