yarhi rāmam avahad danoḥ sutaḥ
śubhra-dhāma-vapuṣaṃ tamaḥ-prabhaḥ |
indu-hāri tama ity amuṃ tadā
divya-loka-nikaras tv amanyata || [rathoddhatā]
When the son of Danu, radiant like darkness, / carried Rāma whose body possessed white splendor, / the host of celestial beings then thought him to be / darkness stealing the moon. //
