[34] tad evaṃ yadyapy utkaṇṭhāyāḥ parama-kāṣṭhā jātā, tathāpi kācid api kāñcit prati na prakāśayāmāsa | adharmeṇāpi taṃ bhajāni, iti yathā tās tathā kṛṣṇo' pi tatra tā nirvidyā nirvidya khidyate sma |

[34] Thus, even though longing reached its utmost limit, nevertheless not a single woman revealed it to any other. 'I will worship him even through unrighteousness'—just as they felt, so also Kṛṣṇa grieved there, having become utterly despondent about them.
