1.17.107

ghaḍad-ghaḍad iti dhvana-daghana-ghaṭābhisaṅghaṭṭanaiḥ
kaṭhora-kuṭha-kuṭṭakaiḥ kuṭila-vāyubhiḥ kuṇṭhite |
prakoṣṭha-kuṭa-kuṭṭimā-vaṭa-taṭādi-maty ujjhite
jane prakaṭam āṭa sā prathita-dhṛṣṭi-vṛṣṭi-prathā || [pṛthvī]

By the collisions of dense masses of clouds rumbling with a 'ghaḍad-ghaḍad' roar,
and stunned by ferocious, cutting, whirling gales,
when the people abandoned all thought of courtyard, cottage, paved floor, ditch, riverbank, and the like,
that renowned fury of a violent downpour swept forth manifestly. ||
