"aṅghri-kṣālana-mārjane iha bhavān jīyād" iti prārthanā,
samyag vījanam antarā pramadasūhāsa-prasū-sūktayaḥ |
rucyānāṃ pariveṣaṇaṃ muraripor dṛṣṭi-prasādāmṛtaṃ
yatraivaṃ suhṛdāṃ sabhojana-vidhiḥ sūte na kiṃ vā sukham? || [śārdūla]

'May your honour live long!'—such was the prayer during the washing and wiping of feet, while thorough fanning proceeded; inside, joyful good words arose from the mothers, evoking laughter; the serving of delicious dishes; and the nectar of Muraripu's gracious gaze—where the feast of the dear friends is conducted thus, does it not produce supreme delight? ||
