tataś ca,
kṣaṇam adhi jala-madhyaṃ tasthur ānamra-netrāḥ
punar udayati śīte' drākṣur etāḥ kadambam |
api harir adhiśākhaṃ gupta-mūrtiḥ purāsīt
punar avṛtim ayāsīc cātma-lakṣāya tābhiḥ || [mālinī]

And then:
For a moment they remained in the middle of the water with downcast eyes; / as the cold arose once more, they looked up at the kadamba tree. / Even though Hari had previously concealed his form on the branch, / he once more became uncovered so that he would be noticed by them. (12)
