vraja-nṛpa-kula-ratna tvaṃ vraja-prīti-śālī
vraja-jana-mahanīyaś cāsi yācāmahe tat |
vayam atitara-śīta-vyagratā-grasta-cittā
vitara vitara vāsaś cānayaṃ mā ca kārṣīḥ || [mālinī]

“O jewel of the royal line of Vraja, you possess affection for Vraja
and are revered by the people of Vraja; therefore we beg:
with our minds gripped by anxiety from excessive cold,
give, give us our clothing, and do not commit an injustice!”
