[10] tad evaṃ rādhā-sudhā-durbhikṣāditas titikṣām abhajan sa punar veṇu-śikṣā-bhikṣam eva kevalāṃ sevate sma, yatra varṣā api tarṣākaratayā vyatīyuḥ, samṛddha-gardhanatayā śarad apy ardhaṃ vardhate sma |

Thus, afflicted by the famine of the nectar of Rādhā, He endured it patiently, practicing solely the art of flute-playing as His begging. While doing so, even the rainy season passed, producing thirst, and the autumn also grew halfway, with abundant longing.
