gopyaḥ kṛṣṇaṃ tatra kṛṣṇaś ca rādhām
āśliṣoccair āvrajan narma-śarma |
bhāva-śreṇyaḥ sthāyi-bhāvaṃ svabhāvo
yadvat puṇyād vāsanāṃ pūrva-labdhām ||
The gopīs embraced Kṛṣṇa there, and Kṛṣṇa embraced Rādhā, / attaining the highest delight of jest, / just as ranks of transient emotions embrace the enduring emotion, / or as one's inherent nature, through merit, embraces an impression acquired of old.
