kāntasya tābhiḥ sva-karaṃ spṛśan karaḥ
sarpan paraṃ cāvayavaṃ vitarkitaḥ |
kīrṇaś ca tasyāntaram antaraṃ bhajan[*5]
dṛṣṭaḥ punas taj jitakāśitāṃ gataḥ || [indravaṃśā]

"Touching her hand with his own, the hand of the beloved, / creeping along another limb, was guessed at; / scattered, entering her inner spaces, / it was seen again, having attained the state of being victorious."
