tārāṇāṃ vṛndam āmṛdnann asmākam api sarvataḥ |
ayam ākramate' nūrur vyoma cākramati drutam || [anuṣṭubh]
[21] tataś ca tāsāṃ tathā-bhāvaṃ vibhāvya bhavya-svabhāvaḥ sa śrīmān navya-kiśoratā-navya-sad-bhāvaḥ pratisvam āliṅgitānāṃ darśita-praṇaya-sampad-iṅgitānāṃ vaktra-kamalaṃ sravad-asraṃ mamārja |
[22] sāntvayann eva cedaṃ sāntvam uvāca-
"Crushing the host of stars / and our joy everywhere, / this chariot-driver of the sun advances, / and swiftly overruns the sky!"
[21] And then, discerning their condition, that glorious Lord, whose nature is noble and whose fresh adolescence holds new authentic love, wiped with his hand the weeping lotus face of each beloved embraced by him, who displayed hints of abundant affection. [22] And while comforting them, he spoke these words of solace:
