tataś ca-
agre śubhraṃ rauhiṇeyaṃ vidhāya
śrī-govindaḥ pradravac chaṅkhacūḍam |
kīrti-stoma-prāyatāṃ tasya tanvann
eṣa prāyas taṃ purastāt karoti ||

And then—
Placing the fair son of Rohiṇī in front,
Śrī Govinda [pursued] the fleeing Śaṅkhacūḍa,
making his mass of fame manifest, as it were;
he usually puts him in the forefront. ||
