vilokya sa-balaṃ hariṃ parama-vikramaṃ sa-kramaṃ
visṛjya vanitā-janaṃ tvaritam adravad guhyakaḥ |
balasya kila kālatām amata mṛtyutāṃ yad dharer
mṛgaṃ tad ucitaṃ yataḥ sa sa jagāma tat tat kṛtim ||
Beholding Hari, accompanied by Bala, of supreme prowess and orderly assault,
the Guhyaka quickly abandoned the women and fled.
Indeed, he considered Bala as Time and Hari as Death;
that was suitable for that beast, for he met the fate dealt by each. ||
