[70] tatra ca prajākṛtaṃ rājanīti rājanīti-nyāyena bhavadīya-rājāyamānāyām asyām eva sā jāyamānā syād ity asāv eva tatra pradhānatayāvadhīyate |
[71] sakhya ūcuḥ-bhavatu, tathāpi yathā-katham api bhavat-prasaṅgata eva saṅgataḥ khalv ayaṃ doṣa iti tan-moṣa-kṛte bhavat-kṛtam evānukartavyam |

[70] "And there, according to the principle of political ethics that 'what is done by the subjects falls upon the king,' it should be undertaken by her alone, who acts as your queen; therefore, she alone is regarded as primary in this matter."

[71] The friends said: "Be that as it may, this fault has attached to us somehow only on account of your association; therefore, to remove it, what was done by you must simply be imitated."
