śrīmān yo bhagavān svayaṃ vijayate brahmā surarṣir mahān
vyāsas tat-prabhavaḥ parīkṣid api yāv ugraśravaḥ-śaunakau |
śrīmad-bhāgavata-prathā-praṇayinas tān viśva-nistāriṇaḥ
śrī-goṣṭhasya mahiṣṭhatāṃ prathayituṃ kamrān namaskurmahe ||

"The glorious Lord Himself reigns supreme, as do Brahmā, the great celestial sage [Nārada],
Vyāsa, his son [Śuka], Parīkṣit, and Ugraśravas and Śaunaka—
we bow down to those charming souls who spread the glory of the Śrīmad-Bhāgavata and deliver the universe,
in order to spread the supreme greatness of the glorious cowherd settlement. ||
