tadā ca-
sa tu jananīm anujānatīṃ praṇamya
drutam anurāmam iyāya sabhya-vṛndam |
dvayam api tad atha prakāśa-yuktaṃ
kumuda-suhṛt kumudākarāyate sma ||

And then—
Having bowed to his mother, who granted permission,
he swiftly followed Rāma to the circle of assembly members;
and then that pair, endowed with brilliance,
acted like the moon and a bed of night-blooming lotuses.
