hā cakṣur-ādīni hareḥ samāgame
yady āgamiṣyan śravaṇādi karma ca |
tad āvrajiṣyan viṣayīṇi nāpy amūny
aṣūyayā dhig vyatidūyamānatām || iti |
Alas, if eyes and the rest had come together at Hari's arrival, / and the functions of hearing and the rest as well, / then these would not have wandered off toward worldly objects; / out of jealousy, fie on this intense torment! Thus.
