[251] Then she will speak as if like a man: “Should the withering caused by the abundant scorching of the sun of suffering that is hard to cross be endured by these most chaste women, who are endowed with sweetness and tenderness like honey-wine? Likewise, should the burden of unbearable shame falling upon the uplifter of Govardhana, the bearer of the yoke of his own family, who is skilled in every leadership, be approved? But in truth, there is no occasion for the disruption of their happiness either, as is said even in the words of Śrī Śuka: ‘For whose home, wealth, friends, dear ones, body, sons, vital breaths, and minds are for Your sake’ [Bhāgavata Purāṇa 10.14.35]. And therefore, one should not act with wounding words, in such a way that there would only be the gathering of all happiness.”
