1.32.53

yadā rāsānanda-prabhṛti-hari-līlāḥ suvalitās
tadā gopyaḥ satyaṃ parama-paramaṃ śarma samayuḥ |
paraṃ yātāyātaṃ racayad abhitas tad-virahajaṃ
mahā-duḥkhaṃ tāsāṃ hṛdayam asakṛn mardayati naḥ ||

When Hari's divine plays, beginning with the joy of the rāsa-dance, were in full swing,
the cowherd maidens truly attained the highest, supreme happiness;
but the coming and going caused all around it a great sorrow born of separation from him,
which repeatedly crushes our hearts. ||
