[5] tad evam evam ambuja-locane śayyāyām eva ciraṃ racita-śocane sahasā keśī sadeśī-babhūva | asya ca nirgranthanaṃ prathama-granthata eva kathayā granthanam āsasāda |

[5] While the lotus-eyed one was thus lamenting for a long time on his very bed, Keśin suddenly appeared in that place; and his slaying obtained its composition in the narrative from the very first book.
