āstāṃ rāsādi-līlāvalir api lalitā hā dinānte niśānte'py
añcan gobhir vilāsī saha-sakhi-nicayaḥ sāgrajaḥ kṛṣṇa-candraḥ |
asmān netrānta-lakṣmī-vilasita-kalayā puṣṭavān suṣṭhu yas taṃ
gopās tūrṇaṃ nayanti kva samam iti giro gopikā māṃ tudanti ||

'Let be that charming series of pastimes such as the rāsa! Alas, at day's end and at night's end too, / the playful Kṛṣṇacandra, accompanied by his elder brother and throng of friends, would roam with the cows / and thoroughly nourish us with the playful charm of his sidelong glances— / where are the cowherds taking him away so swiftly?' Such words of the gopīs pierce me! //
