[16] pūrṇimā sānandam āha-tarhi paramam arhitam eva tad idam asman-manaḥ saṃvidaṃ viditāṃ kariṣyatīti tvaritam eva vācaya |
[17] vṛndā sa-pramada-vṛndaṃ tad-vācanāspadam ācacāra |prathamaṃ tāvad bahir vihitān nāma-varṇān nirvarṇayantī varṇayāmāsa-atra kalita-tvad-bhāga-dheyaṃ śrīmad-bhāgavata-bhāga-sambhāga-jāgarūkaṃ pādmottara-khaṇḍasya khaṇḍaṃ nidhyeyam |madhye madhye tat-tat-poṣaṇāya saṃcitaṃ kiñcid anyad anyad api iti |

[16] Pūrṇimā said with joy: "Then it is indeed most worthy! It will make known the realization of our hearts; therefore, read it at once!"
[17] Vṛndā gladly went to the place of reading. First, gazing upon the letters of the title inscribed on the outside, she explained: "Here your good fortune is secured; this portion of the Uttara-khaṇḍa of the Padma Purāṇa, which is vigilant in sharing the portion of the Śrīmad-Bhāgavata, is to be contemplated; and in between, various other things collected to support them."
