[16] tataś cirād evam ucatuḥ,- ætataḥ parihṛtāv eva cira-labdha-śvāsa-rūpābhyāṃ yuvābhyām āvām' iti tatrākrūrasya jananyā ca vicārataḥ krūram idaṃ proktam,- æyady atra vraja-janānāṃ gamanāgamanam asti, tarhi vraja evāyam astīti gamanaṃ vāsya kathaṃ nirodha-viṣayīkriyate ?' iti |

Then, after a long time, the two said: "Then we two have been abandoned by you both, who were like the long-sought breath of our lives!" Thereupon, upon reflection, Akrūra's mother made this harsh remark: "If there is coming and going of the people of Vraja here, then Vraja itself is present here; so why is his going restricted?"
