“Triumphant is Jananivāsa, who is celebrated as born of Devakī, / who with his own arms—the assembly of foremost Yadus—casts away unrighteousness, / who destroys the afflictions of moving and unmoving beings, / and who, with his beautifully smiling, splendid face, increases the love of the women of Vraja and the city!” (10.90.48)
