“When the god [Indra] was raining with winds, lightning-bolts, and hailstones out of fury at the destruction of his sacrifice, / seeing the protectors, cattle, and women suffering, compassionate and smiling, / he uprooted the mountain with one hand and, though a boy, held it like an effortless mushroom, / and protected the cowherd settlement, crushing the pride of Mahendra; may that Indra of the cows be pleased with us!”
