[123] atha pūrṇimā varṇayāmāsa-tad evaṃ śrī-bādarāyaṇir api tasya gavendratāṃ nijāśrayatayā śrāvayāmāsa | so'yaṃ yatra gopālādīnāṃ tenāparityājyatāṃ vyañjayāmāsa | tathaiva hi tatra śrī-gavendrasyāntaḥ-pratijñā tasmān mac-charaṇaṃ goṣṭham ity ādi |

[124] Then Pūrṇamāsī explained: “Thus Śrī Bādarāyaṇi too proclaimed his status as lord of the kine as his own refuge. Here he disclosed that the cowherds and others are never to be abandoned by him. For just so is the inner vow of the glorious lord of the kine there: ‘Therefore the cowherd settlement is my refuge,’ and so forth.”
