sukhāviṣṭas tasmin madhuram upaviṣṭaiḥ sadasi tair
mahā-snigdhaiḥ śarma-prakara-paridigdhaiḥ parivṛtaḥ |
paṭhadbhiḥ putrāśīr ucita-nigamaṃ bhūsura-varaiḥ
kiradbhir dūrvādyaṃ śirasi sukha-pūrvaṃ sa mahitaḥ ||

Immersed in happiness, surrounded by those most affectionate brāhmaṇas / who were seated sweetly in the assembly and anointed with abundant auspiciousness, / he was honoured joyfully by the best of brāhmaṇas / who recited Vedic verses suitable for blessing a son, scattering dūrvā grass and other items upon his head. //
