sasne yat paricaskare vapur api svasti-śrutiḥ śuśruve
śrīman-nanda-mahātmanā suta-janau tat tat stuve nāparam |
adyāpi sphuṭam eti sarva-janatā yeṣāṃ śrutād apy aho
snānādy apy atigamya satkṛti-phalaṃ yasyāsti nāntaḥ kvacit ||

I praise only that bathing, that decoration of the body, / and the hearing of auspicious Vedic texts performed by the high-souled, glorious Nanda at the birth of his son, and nothing else; / even today, from merely hearing of these, all people clearly attain / the fruit of pious deeds, surpassing even bathing, and having no end anywhere! //
