[26] śrīmān nandaś ca-
mahodāra-cittaś citāneka-vittaṃ
samāhūya sarvaṃ guṇājīvi-kharvam |
vinā tad-vicāraṃ vapuḥ-śakti-sāraṃ
samutkṣipya ratnaṃ dade sātiyatnam ||

[26] And glorious Nanda, / of greatly generous heart, having summoned all the humble bards / who had gathered manifold wealth, / without considering its worth, gave them gems with utmost zeal, / casting them forth with the full strength of his body.
