bālasya mātāmaham etya mātulās
tadā gṛhītāḥ kara-corakā iva |
dadhy-ādi-paṅkeṣu muhur vikarṣaṇāt
pitṛvya-vargeṇa vihasya daṇḍitāḥ ||

The maternal uncles, having approached the child's maternal grandfather, / were then captured like thieves caught red-handed; / dragged again and again into the mud of curd and other liquids, / they were laughingly punished by the group of paternal uncles.
