"aṅka-bhrāji-śiśūpananda-gṛhiṇīm ājñā madīyedṛśī
yan mā mādṛśa-dṛṣṭi-sambhrama-vaśād utthāta yūyaṃ muhuḥ |"
ity evaṃ vinigadya yājaka-guruḥ sammoda-sampan-milat-
kampaḥ sākṣata-pāṇi sāśru-nayanaṃ svasti-śrutīr ūcivān || [śārdūla]

"It is my command to the wife of Upananda who has the infant shining on her lap, / that you should not constantly stand up out of respect upon seeing people like me!" / Having said this, the chief priest, trembling with an abundance of joy, / with unbroken grains of rice in his hands and tears in his eyes, uttered the auspicious Vedic verses.
