[48] But this glorious son of Nanda, praised from his very birth for being full of the treasures of all knowledge and other virtues, served by Yogamāyā that was full of his father's auspicious contemplation, was absorbed in the bliss of childhood pastimes subservient to the affection of his own people. Therefore, ignoring [his powers] therein, he remained distinct from any peerless manifestation of them; yet, finding an opportunity now and then, she [Yogamāyā] resolved upon her service and appeared there. Then, sensing her inner distorted form, he closed his eyes, which delighted in what is naturally auspicious.
