tatra ca-
snigdhāḥ paśyati seṣmayīti bhujayor yugmaṃ muhuś cālayann
atyalpaṃ madhuraṃ ca kūjati pariṣvaṅgāya cākāṅkṣati |
lābhālābha-vaśād amuṣya lasati krandaty api kvāpy asau
pīta-stanyatayā svapity api punar jāgran mudaṃ yacchati ||[śārdulavikrīḍitā]

And on that occasion:
Moving his pair of arms again and again, he looks lovingly with a smile;
he coos very softly and sweetly, and yearns for an embrace;
according as he obtains it or not, he beams or even weeps somewhere;
having drunk breast-milk he sleeps, and waking up again he imparts joy. //
