bhavanam anu suyatne ratna-paryaṅka-varye
surabhi-mṛdula-tulī-śubhra-vastra-praśaste |
hari-maṇi-ruci-bālaḥ śobhate smāsitāmbho-
ruham iva sura-sindhau kṣīra-sindhau harir vā || [mālinī]

Inside the house, upon an excellent bedstead of jewels,
renowned for fragrant, soft mattresses and white sheets,
the child, possessing the lustre of emeralds, shone like a blue lotus
in the celestial river, or Hari in the ocean of milk. //
