bālena samam anyo' nyaṃ prābalyaṃ darśayann iva |
ūrdhvādho-bhāvam āsādya sarvā hāsayati sma saḥ || [anuṣṭubh]
mātṝṇām agrato bāhū vikṣipan dhāvati sma saḥ |
darśayann iva tejaḥ svaṃ hasan pāte ruroda ca || [anuṣṭubh]

As if showing superiority one over the other with the boy, / going up and down, he made everyone laugh.
Tossing his arms out before the mothers, he ran, / as if displaying his own splendor; laughing, when he fell he cried.
