[78] vraja-rājas tu mātary antaḥ-sneham asya paryālocya tad abhivyaktaye hastaṃ kiñcid udastaṃ vidhāyābhidadhe-putra, yadi vakṣi, tarhi bāḍhaṃ tāṃ tāḍayāmi |

[78] The king of Vraja, observing the boy's inner affection for his mother, raised his hand slightly to reveal it and said: "Son, if you say so, I will certainly strike her!"
