[61] taj-jāyā tu taj-jābhyāṃ duḥkha-lajjābhyāṃ sajjatī gṛhād āgrahāc ca na niṣkrāntavatī, na ca gṛhāgatāḥ sambhāṣitavatī | sarvāsv arvāg eva nivṛttāsu, samādhānohinī rohiṇī gaurava-pātrībhiḥ paurogavībhiḥ pariveṣayāmāsa |

[61] His wife, however, overcome with the sorrow and shame arising from that incident, would not leave her chamber out of obstinacy, nor would she speak with the women who came to her house. When all of them had returned without success, Rohiṇī, skilled in bringing reconciliation, had food served by respectable female kitchen-stewards.
