nirjjityaiva samānīya māhiṣmatyāṃ babandha tam /
tasya bāhusahasrantu yudhyato bhuvaneśvarāḥ /
yogādyogeśvarasyaiva prādurbhavati māyayā //
having vanquished him and brought him [there], he imprisoned him in Māhiṣmatī.
His thousand arms, O lords of the earth, manifested while fighting
through the magical power of yoga, just like [those] of a master of yoga.
