1.13

vasūni vāñchan na vaśī na manyunā svadharma ity eva nivṛttakāraṇaḥ
gurūpadiṣṭena ripau sute 'pi vā nihanti daṇḍena sa dharmaviplavam //

Self-controlled, not desiring wealth, free from righteous wrath, / with motives set aside out of the conviction that it is merely his own righteousness, / he averts transgression of righteousness toward enemy or son alike / by punishment taught by his elders.
