samavṛttir upaiti mārdavaṃ samaye yaś ca tanoti tigmatām
adhitiṣṭhati lokam ojasā sa vivasvān iva medinīpatiḥ //
The lord of the earth who is impartial, assumes gentleness, and exerts sharpness at the proper time, / presides over the world with his splendour like the sun.
