balavān api kopajanmanas tamaso nābhibhavaṃ ruṇaddhi yaḥ
kṣayapakṣa ivaindavīḥ kalāḥ sakalā hanti sa śaktisampadaḥ //
Though powerful, he who does not check the overpower of darkness born of anger / destroys all the riches of his power, like the waning fortnight destroying the digits of the moon.
