laghuvṛttitayā bhidāṃ gataṃ bahir antaś ca nṛpasya maṇḍalam
abhibhūya haraty anantaraḥ śithilaṃ kūlam ivāpagārayaḥ //
When the mandala of a king, through light conduct, has become divided within and without, / an adjacent neighbour, having overpowered it, sweeps it away like a river current a crumbling bank.
